Who knows what they are working on at the Bettis Lab.

Fun fact: A Bettis lab employee once got angry at me for mentioning what they do, despite the fact that 100% of my knowledge came from Wikipedia. I guess it could be one of those things where even though it’s public knowledge it’s still officially classified so they could be in serious trouble for acknowledging it. In any event, apparently I’m supposed to say they do wastewater disposal or something.

I will never be able to find it now, but I remember back during the ‘91 Gulf War there was a fire at the Bettis Lounge, just down the road from Bettis Labs. The next day there was a political cartoon in t he old McKeesport Daily News showing Saddam berating an underling: “You idiot! I said ‘Bettis Labs’ , not ‘ Bettis Lounge’!”

Where I work we got 4 inches of snow followed by freezing rain. I actually saw someone pull into a parking lot driving a Hellcat.
